Our Tatami mats are woven from strong grass, producing a robust and taught material much thinner and finer than the Tatami floor mats you might be familiar with. These mats make perfect wall coverings and are excellent for projects like re-lining an old trunk or re-upholstering a piece of furniture. Tatami Mats will arrive with a slight greenish tint, that will gradually disappear as the mat dries to a soft tan. Drying time depends on humidity, but we're sure you'll enjoy the natural grassy scent it releases as it dries.
