FAQ - about garden accessories
Can bamboo edging be used to retain garden beds?
Yes, the edging can be used to retain a raised bed up to 7".
How does the edging fix into the ground?
The edging has a treated (boron salts + pentachlorophenol) post every foot. These posts are tough and may be driven into the ground with a sledge hammer without damaging the edging.
Will the edging withstand weather and bugs?
The edging has been pretreated with boron salts to resist damage from insects. It will weather from the sun to a silvery gray over time. It will eventually be damaged by water exposure. However, regular treatment with Cabot's Australian Hardwood Timber Oil will extend its longevity.
Do I need to wire the ends of the edging panels together?
The edging will look nicer if the panels are wires together to make one continuous panel. Each panel has two 6" wires at each end to facilitate this process. The panels are best wired together once they've been placed in the garden.
