This double gate is seldom opened. It hides a very large compost pile and excess snow in the winter. It is difficult to make driveway gates from pure bamboo. In this application the gates are lifted slightly off a drilled stone to open. For swinging driveway gates it is necessary to start with a stiff metal frame and shroud it will bamboo. Otherwise the gate will eventually sag.
